We are proud to announce that we now offering CDL ELDT Class A-O courses for those who drive straight truck-trailer combination vehicles with a GVWR over 26000 LBS. Straight truck-trailer configurations differ from traditional tractor-trailer setups due not using a large fifth wheel for towing, such as with semi-trucks. Straight truck-trailer typically refer to towing configurations that utilize pintle hooks, towing ball hitches, and small gooseneck fifth-wheels. These short term courses complement our online theory ELDT Class A course. Applicants who wish to obtain CDL Class A-O, as well as companies and agencies that need ELDT Class A-O solutions for their employees are encouraged to contact us to discuss ELDT course options.
Midwest Driver Training is proud to announce we are now offering onsite or traveling passenger and school bus CDL ELDT courses. These short term courses complement our online theory courses in Class B, Passenger and School Bus endorsements. Yes, any employer (private or public) who seek to hire new drivers to operate commercial vehicles must comply with ELDT rules, effective February 7th, 2022.
ELDT consists of theory, BTW range, and public road components. New drivers must pass exams covering theory content and demonstrate proficiency in BTW range and public road concepts.
Yes, our ELDT courses can be accessed using a computer, tablet or smartphone so long as you have internet access.
ELDT online courses are priced between $150-$200 per student. Discounts are available for large groups of students. Contact us for details.
We do offer "short-term training" for behind the wheel training but we are limited to how long in duration that we can provide behind the wheel instruction. This instruction is offered on a hourly basis. Contact us for pricing details. Note: this instruction is not the same as the ELDT consultation listed above.
Yes, we are a third party CDL tester in the state of Nebraska. We offer a full test for $200, if you bring your own vehicle to use. If you do not have a vehicle to test with, we can provide to you for a fee. Contact us for details.
